Solid body movement in X direction

Hi,

I would like to move a solid square in x direction by specific velocity. Could you suggest me how to do that it Fluent?

it depends on your geometry

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. I have uploaded the geomtetry for your convenience. I just want to move the body in x direction with certain velocity.

what about the outer geometry?

Hi,

Basically I am planning to make weld pool simulation where laser will be stationary and the solid body will move along the x -direction. I did not get your point about outer geometry.

meshing strategy will not be the same if your are modelling intern- or extern-flowfield simulation.
If your moving body won't cross any geometry you can handle it with layering
