intializing data in fluent from an available solution( from an opensource code)

Hi to everyone,

I have created and solved a case on a specific mesh in FASTEST3D (an open source code). Now I want to use the solutions to give as input to FLUENT12 for the same geometry but slightly different mesh.
Please give some idea about how to to initialize the data in Fluent?

Thanks,
Ayan

As I understand it, one way to do this in Fluent is through Profiles. You'll need to map the other solution's relevant data (velocity components, turbulence quantities, and matching locations) into a text file compatible with Fluent's Profile format (search the Help files for an example). Then, import the Profile, and you'll be able to select the relevant profile component (velocity, turbulence intensity, etc) when defining your Inlet Boundary Conditions.
