boundary condition

Please help, I am intending to model a static combustion process of carbon powder. First I am trying to simulate the mixing process of the carbon powder that put into the small cap inside the chamber attached and the oxygen by using a multiphase model. The problem is that I don't know how to define the mass (kg) of powder to be put in the cap, so it is highly appreciated if anyone can give me a hint to do so.

The mass of the powder will be determined by the volume of the cap divided by the density of the carbon powder. If the cap is 2 cm^3, and assuming the density of carbon powder (with 0 porosity) is ~2 g/cm^3, you'd have 2 g of powder. Of course, if you have a maximum packing limit of something other than 1 (~0.74 for HCP), the mass will be fractionally decreased by 1 minus the packing limit.

thanks a lot for your reply and what I mean is the type of boundary condition I have to use in gambit?

thanks for your help
