Flueunt-VOF model...

I am using Volume Of Fluid(VOF) model. For outer boundary i have to give air as a fluid which is not a part of mixture or VOF model. So please help me how to give air without incorporating in VOF model. Thank You....

I am afraid your question not clear how you want to apply vof model without including air? may you give more details about your problem supported with sketch?

hi
same problem, what are the steps required to use vof, with two phases air+ benzene in a cylindre;;;; i tried but always i found only one phase in the end
thanks

Send me a PM...I'll look at your case. You've posted this question across many discussions.

alilouu is it a stratified flow? fluids moves with same velocities? laminar or turbulent? give me hints about your problem ?

Thank u for your kind response....If u find any other method please inform me...

Thank u for your kind reply...Here i want to use air and water liquid so if i want to give two phase means i couldnt give two phase in my VOF model...The fluent alway showing only one phase so please can u help me sir....

hi, i have the same problem, with two phase (water-liquid + water-vapor) with species transfer (liquid to vapor), i had patched water-liquid already; but still shows no water-vapor. somehow, i can't figure out, what's the major problem is ?

thanks all, i will wait with hopes.

always with vof

hi K.baker
sorry im late, ..i have some results (with Taylor Couette problem) VOF, two phases.. but i want to compare with others (numeric stady on a free surface) to see if im wrong or not...
always i don't have the static pressur....
thanks a lot

there are some other setting items of volume of phase on initialize and boundary conditions. just try enter different setting then see what happens.Good luck!!
