Omega at the wall

Hello,

How is technically the omega (specific dissipation rate) computed at the wall in case of low-Reynolds number approach (RANS k-omega model)?

According to Menter (1993) the omega is computed at the wall itself, so for y=0. Does it mean that the omega value is computed at the first cell near to the wall or it is estimated exactly for y=0 using the Neumann boundary condition and ghost cells.

thank you,
sla
