energy_source_UDF

Hi,

I could learn from FLUENT Manuals that an energy source can be defined if the dependence of production rate is constant or depends on the location, when this dependence is given by an analytical function.

My question is: is it possibe to write a UDF if the analytical form of the energy production as a function of spatial coordinates is not known, but its value in each cell center is given.

[To fit a 3D function to this individual values is not easy, thus it would be nice to avoid it.]

Thank you in advance for any answer.

Hi,
I think the reasonable way is to use UDM here.
by a loop you can store source derivative in a UDM and then use it in define source macro.

thank you

Thanks amirezza. :) I will have a look at this method concerning UDM.
