Hi guys,
I tried two same cases using density-based solver and pressure-based solver respectively and found that the simulation time of the density-based one is 3 times as much as the pressure-based one. Is this normal or I made some mistakes? Thank you. Renold |

yes it is normal. You should get more or less the same results, however the density based in slower. They differ in the way the fluid equations are numerically solved.
Said that, density based are very useful and suitable for supersonic flows. If your problem is not supersonic, pressure-based will do. cheers rokk |
