Simulating a Paper Filter in Multiphase: How to Make Impassable by Secondary Phase?

Hey guys,

I’m modeling a multiphase system with a primary phase being air and my secondary phase being sand. The system uses high speed air to entrain the sand and ultimately collect it. The collection process is completed by passing the air/sand mixture through a paper filter where the sand drops out of the flow into a collection area. Is there any way to prevent my secondary phase, sand, from passing through my pressure outlet boundary condition? Is there another boundary condition that I should consider to represent this? I'm open to ideas.

Here is a picture of the system. The top half is initially air (blue) and the bottom half is the sand (pink). The "nozzle" can be seen as the protrusion on the left and the outlet is on the top right. This is where the paper filter would be.

Thanks!
