constand head boundary for VOF model

Default constand head boundary for VOF model

hello. i'm building a VOF - open channel flow model of a Steeppass fishway and would like to impose a constant head boundary at the inlet/upstream end as this type of fishway would typically have a large inlet pool supplying a constant head of water on the flume. is this possible to mimic? should i build a tank into the upstream end of the model or can i create a "constant head" boundary? i've attached a few screen shots of the model. any ideas would be much appreciated.
