Help with conjugate heat transfer and coupled boundary condition

Hey I have modeled a heat generating solid element and flow over it. I have read that if there is a wall separating two medium the "wall" and "wall-shadow" would automatically appear and you have to give "coupled" boundary condition to both of them. Basically it behaves as a thin wall which interacts with the solid and fluid zone. Somehow the wall-shadow never comes up.
It would be of great help if I get enlightened on this...

the wall should be two-sided wall, that is, the wall is inside the cell zone.
your trouble may come from that the geometries of the solid zone and fluid zone are not connected.
you may avoid the problem in two ways:
make the geometries connected, or
use non-conformal mesh, that is, assign adjacent boundaries of the two zone as interfaces.
