Hi shell conduction parallel problem

Hi Guys maybe somebody know why i can not run shell conduction model in parallel mode and I must say that in the serial is working perfectly fine for me. Also I was trying to find something more in the documentation but there is info that this model should work. Any idea what is wrong ? maybe is something with the parallel grid partitioning (is set-up automatic and have fluent12 academic)

Regards,

Dora

Hi, Dora,
Try to setup and save the case in serial solver then read it with parallel one.

I was trying before (from serial to parallel ) also must say that this model is periodic maybe this is the problem?

Are you using DTRM radiation model or comformal mesh adaption?

Hi :),
I have somewhat the same problem...when I'm using 16 CPUs (4 cnodes*4ppn). in CFX121
when I use serial mode, the model is solved with speed of 12 (iterations/hour).
when I use "Parallel" or "Distributed" it's slower..just 1( iteration/ hour).

What's the problem?
The OS is LINUX and I think I must activate the parallel processing ...if I'm true...how to do that?

Regards
