I am doing LES simulation for a pipe flow using Fluent.
Have no previous experience on LES and are confused on some fundamental concepts in LES, please help. I have run the same case with k-epsilon method and got the values of k and epsilon (the mass/volume averaged value), so I can evaluate the turbulence length scale (I guess, it is a averaged value too) using k and epsilon. so now, how can I set the mesh size in the model and the time step based on above info. what's filter's value? many thanks for any of your reply |
