hi everyone,
i'm a new member here. i'm working on my thesis about axial turbine.i've tried to simulate it with sliding mesh that shown in tutorial 11 at fluent tutorial guide. but the result isn't exactly match with my calculation.anyone can help me to evaluate my work? thanks, best regards, ian *here i append my work http://www.ziddu.com/download/145981...iasi1.rar.html |

my simulation is in 2D
i'm using steady state then i continue into transient.. Solver : density based - explisit - unsteady - 2nd order Implicit (the other is default) Viscous model : k-epsilon (default) Material : user defined ( parameters are based on 3 bar water vapor with ideal-gas density) Operating Pressure : 0 Boundary Conditions :

in my calculation the mass flow rate is about 3.5 kg/s, with 72 blades its mean that the mass flow is around 0.048611 kg/s each blade..
but the result in fluent is 1.8 kg/s.. does it mean that i have to use 3D simulation? |
