thank you for your reply. Yes, it works, but when I have drawn my contour or vector and remove the mesh it shows an empty box.
Can you please give me the exact procedure to draw a contour without the mesh showing.
what I clicked; Display > Mesh > Display
I have attached the pictures to show what I mean

your case is 2d, so you should not select any surface to display contour.
I send two picture for you. see these pictures and follow them.http://d/cfd%20c/6.GIFhttp://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/D:%5Ccfd%20c%5C1.bmp http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/D:%5Ccfd%20c%5C2.bmp

mojtaba1365 and ioc,
I did uncheck the draw mesh box, but it still displays the mesh. Check it in this pdf I would attach

I got it.
follow this:
display-contour-do not select any surface in surface panel- select Filed.
you have selected all the surfaces, but you should not do this work

Brilliant. Thank you, that works. Do you know if/how I can apply law of the wall in FLUENT.

mojtaba1365 May 18, 2011 16:32

please explain...

tolu May 18, 2011 16:47

I was asked to apply law of the wall http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_the_wall to my cylinder wall, dont know whether FLUENT does this.

mojtaba1365 May 18, 2011 16:54

you can run your case and then compare your results with the law of the wall formula...
