XY plot into excel
 

I'm trying to find a way to import raw data from XY plot in Fluent into excel. Is there any way to do this?

I've found it by manually opening .xy file into notepad then copy to excel. Thank you for your attention.

you can easily do this two ways:

1. use file - export - ascii
then you select the surface/region/or line you want data from and the data you want. Then hit save. You now how a file you can open and copy and paste into excel.

2. use the TUI to export the data:

plot plot yes filename.txt no no no phase/property yes 1 0 surface#
