Hello All,
I always used gambit to mesh my geometries and define boundary conditions. Now our uni has gone to Fluent 13, but gambit has been dropped. How did you make the transition? Details are appreciated Thanks in advance! |

It turns out, this is a good place to start. Watch the video

Ansys has stopped support of Gambit from the release of R13, and it will be eventually phased out.
We are still using Gambit and one day we may have to make the transition. One thing I will miss is the combined feature of geometry and meshing in a single tool. Any experiences in this transition? |

I spent hours learning how to hex-mesh a straight rectangular duct with boundary layer
Now I am trying to figure out face splitting In Gambit it used to be quite easy - one face can be split with another But I am unsure how to do it in DesignModeler... |
