Hi,
I am using Fluent 12.0. My computer has a duo core processor with 12 CPUs. How to define this in Fluent 12.0? When I start the software, I define the number of parallel working processores. I defined them to 2, but my computer doesn't seem to be very fast. Does anybody know, whether this is right or whether I have to write all 12 CPUs in this field? Thanks |

You need to diefine the real number of processors in your pc you can know them by right click on my computer then select properties then go to device manager you must find the number of processors in it or you can know that from BIOS.

Thanks. I tried it but there was no visible speed increase.
I have two processors and each of them have 6 CPUs. That means I have to write in the field 2, or not? My problem is that Fluent does also work with 12 parallel processes. That irritates me. |
