regarding the concentration contours in fluent

Hi everyone,

This is sandeep kumar, I did a simulation for a fire propagation in a room using a UDF as a heat source and got the temperature profiles but not the smoke concentration contours. Kindly anyone help me how to get smoke concentration curves in fluent.

Hi,
to generate something like smoke contour in this manner, you can implement a scalar equation, i.e. a UDS to involve convection and diffusion terms; also, you have to include a source term to this equation for regarding smoke generation or destruction as a function of temperature maybe.

Hi,
UDS is a scalar transport equation which its template is available in FLUENT. It's just enough to activate that.

I am stimulating IC engines using fluent. Do you know the command to obtain temperature contours/ pressure contours in fluent.

like disp cont velo-mag 0 100 is for velocity
