symmetry

in simulating fluid in a pipe, in case of physical and geometrical symmetry and no turbulant, is there any issue for considering symmetry? is the result as accurate as in case we dont consider the symmetry and solve all the domain, ? what if there would be turbulance?

Dear Hamid, You should do simple case.
One simulation for simple full pipe with high turbulence , and the other simulation with symetry conditions in the middle (U are simulating the half domain). And comapre the results:)
Let me know .

thank u for reply, as far as i know for turbulence simulating, symmetry may cause wrong answer, is it also the case for laminar regime?

Hamid

:) Do it in laminar as well, but for laminar it s ok
test by ur self, it s very easy and simple
