UDF to define velocity, k, epsilon profiles at velocity-inlet

Hi all,

I am using an inherited (being used by my current colleagues before I joined this company) UDF to define vertical (Z) profiles of velocity, k and epsilon at the inlet of a 3D domain.

As long as the Zmin boundary is set to zero, and it remains flat throughout the domain, I don't encounter any troubles. But, when this boundary plane is at a different height, say negative, and even if I change the Z reference value to that, I will get error messages in FLUENT as soon as I start to select the inlet as the reference location, or when I try to initialise the case.

Sometimes, I also encounter problems when my Zmin boundary is not flat and/or the inlet is at a negative height.

Any suggestions, comments, guidance?

thanks

K
