Hi,
I would like to know what exactly the "packed bed" option in FLUENT Euler-Euler solver does. Im refering to the option for the secondary phase in the "Phases" submenu. According to the manual, ticking this option "freezes the velocity in the discrete phase".

Now does that mean it makes the velocity in the dispersed phase zero, or does it mean it does not solve the continuity and momentum equaiton for the second phase in the second phase area, or is there another mechanism? Can someone shed light on this? I need to know since I want to replicate this feature in openfoam and want to know the exact mechanism of what this option does.
Thanks!
