hey! i'm quite a beginner with fluent, so i would need some help...
i am working on freezing of the ground... i have few zones (different type of solid) and in these zones there is a small amount of water. boundary conditions: temperatre of air above the ground is around 285k and we have convective heat transfer (i will probably have to use UDF) and lower temperature is around 260k... the ground is freezing and i want to determine how deep the ground will freeze and the temperatures... in 'cell zone conditions', i checked porous zone and type porosity factor... problem is with solidification... under 'material properties' (for water) i enter melting heat, solidus and liquidus temperature, and when i get the results (contours), i can see how deep the water frooze but this does not influence temperature field - temperature field is the same if there is no freezing going on or if it is going on... so this is kinda confusing for me... and any other tips, regarding my problem, would we very welcome Last edited by glob; July 20, 2011 at 07:44. |
