Hello everybody,

I have got a problem at defining planes for data aquisition at Fluent:
I want to define a plane cutting one branch of my vessel-bifurcation (see pic: the lower branch), but unfortunately this plane is cutting the other branch of the vessel as well (the upper branch). I solved this problem by using the Iso-Clip option and defined the radius of the ring-shaped plane in such a way that the plane only cuts one branch, but I am afraid that's kind of a "dirty" solution.
Does anybody have an idea, how I can solve this problem in a better way?
Thanks a million in advance!
Lilly

And I just realized I cannot run Fluent with the Iso-Clip planes I defined!

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
As you already did, I would clip your plane, but with Y-coordinates.
What do you mean with "I cannot run Fluent with Iso-Clip planes I defined!"

Thank you -mAx-! It works fine if I use the y-coordinates!

I don't know what happend before when I was using the radius to clip the planes. When I pushed the calculate button at Fluent, nothing happend at all (and the "sand glass" appeared) for hours. As soon as I removed the Iso-clip planes from the "Monitors", I could start the simulation as usual.

Thanks a million for your help!
