I need to have a model with "layering'' scheme of dynamic mesh. Hence I split my model into two zones with different types of mesh (hex/wedge above and tet/hyb bottom) as attachment. These zones actually might consider as one zone with two types of mesh. My problem is what boundary condition should I set for the face connecting these zone? Is it interior? My results seem like different from only one zone with (tet/hyb for whole volume with one zone. Correction pls. It is urgent.

You have to set both surface boundary conditions as interfaces.

Then create an interface, name it whatever, and select the inner set of faces for one of the surfaces, and the outer set of faces as the other surface. Fluent will interpolate between the two surfaces even if the mesh is non conformal.

Thanks for your help. Set the boundary (shown as green colour between the connection of two mesh) as interfaces instead of interior? Are interfaces more appropriate than interior in my case? Why interior is less appropriate in my case? I confused with it. Thanks for your help.
