gambit mesh error

Default gambit mesh error

hi all

gambit gives following error when I use map scheme for a face:
"number of intervals on method edges of face..
don't allow meshing using a scheme of map ."
i post photos of my volume, can anybody say me how can i mesh it?

if you are talking about the top face, then you cannot mesh it with quad.
You need some decompositions (splits).
But you may mesh it with quad-pave or of course tri.
But it depends on what kind of 3d-mesh you want

thanks max.

can I first mesh the entire surface of the wing+winglet using with tri pave elements and then mesh the volume using with Hex/Map?

you mean you will have a cooper mesh (wedges)?
You could, but you need some splits especially at the bottom from your wing (there are some small entities which will give you troubles for sure).
If you don't need absolutely a hexa mesh, I would suggest you tetra-hexcore mesh with size function on wing and a Boundary Layer.
Should ask you less work than full hexa, or even cooper-mesh
