hi,
ensure that you had installed mpi correctly and the paths are set correctly too. then if it dosnt spawn, check that any firewall on your computer is disabled(I think this is your problem). if this dosnt help too, try net interconnection instead of default one. tell me about the results.
yours,
mohammad

Send a message via MSN to vmeertens
I have tried to open a parallel version of fluent (local Machine). When I want to start fluent I got following error:

Loading "\VMEERTENS-PC\C$\PROGRA~1\ANSYSI~1\v120\fluent\fluent12.0.16\ lib\fl114-64.dmp"

Done.

I tried the other settings under “parallel settings” but I still got the same error message.

I didn’t install any MPI software because I thought it is already integrated in W7.

Maybe this has something to do with the Fluent prerequisites I installed the first time? If I remember it well, Fluent installed the C++ 2005 version and asked for a change in the control panel for a SP.

If anyone has an idea for successful parallel settings, please let me know.

Sincerely
