Hi there,
I am working on the ventilation of highway tunnel using two jetfans. I constructed a large tunnel and inserted two jetfans within the tunnel. But I do not know which boundery conditions are appropriate for jetfans. Does anyone know? |

You can just use the Fan boundary condition if you have fan curves. What info do you have about the fans? Do you need to model the fan swirl, or what exactly?

Dear Streufert
Tank you for your reply. I should say that I never want to consider what happen inside the fan(or fans). I just want to consider the effects of pressure jump inside the tunnel by fans. As I said I constructed a large flow domain as a tunnel media. After that, I subtaracted the fan volume from the tunnel volume. So, now I have a single volume. On the other hand I have the required fan mass flow rate and also the value of the pressure jump for each fan. But for which bouandaries they will be applied? Does it need to model as a FAN MODEL or not? Tank you for your attention. |
