wave resistance method used by fluent

Actually I'm gonna evaluate wave resistance of a catamaran using fluent, but since this work is for my final assignment (I'm a student), I need to know what method does fluent used to get the wave resistance value. If anyone could give me any information please just tell me, I'd be really grateful. And any UDF regarding this matter would be helpful as well.
