Hi, I am just a beginner in CFD and I am using fluent 6.3.26 as CFD software.

I am trying to perform a simple 3d heat transfer analysis across a closed cylinder with air inside in order to get more practice but I am not sure if I am doing the simulation correctly.

One end of the cylinder is heated to a high temperature T1 while the other end is at room temperature, T2. There will be of course conduction across the cylinder walls and convection throughout the air inside while radiation will be assumed negligible.

Through the boundary conditions option, I have set the hot end wall to a temp of T2 while the cold end wall is set at T1 but I dont know how to include convection of the air inside since the air is the the default-interior zone.

Can anyone help me on this specific case or point me to a helpful guide?

Thanks!
