hydroacoustical analysis

Hello
I heard that in ansys 13,Fluent are able to hydroacoustical analyzing,if yes ?would you please briefly explain it.

i havent heard about it. I know that there is no an actual software helping in hidroacustical areas.

Is ther anyone sure about that?

Sabra,

Please see chapter 22 in the attached link for a description of Fluent's acoustics capability. It is designed for aeroacoustics, but Fluent solves fluid dynamic equations and therefore doesn't care what the bulk fluid is so I'm sure it would work with water as well.

You can also see the theory the solver uses in Chapter 14 of the accompanying theory guide.

Note that modeling acoustics in fluent is computationally intensive since the compressible model must be used along with fine meshing near the source and receiver, which makes it difficult to get far-field predictions.

Hope this helps.
