Particle Stretching, Breakage in Elongational Flow

Hello,
I am a Master’s student attempting to use FLUENT to model the process of suspended particle breakage in converging orifice flow. This phenomenon is a function of transient elongational strain experienced by particles of finite volume as the suspension accelerates into the orifice. Particles deform, stretching until they break. I don’t think the DPM model has any built in capacity to model this; does anyone have suggestions as to how to approach it?
Thanks,
-Aaron
