Hi dear,
Any one has good experience with modeling multiphase using fluent please help me. I am trying to model the combustion of solid carbon using euler-euler model.I only inclueded the heterogenous reaction between the two phases (no volumetric reactions in gas phase). The species of primary phase are (o2,co2,n2) and the secondary phase (the bulk phase) is solid carbon.
The het. reaction is c(s) +o2 > co2 and the rate of the reaction is calculated using a udf I found in fluent documents. But the simulation shows no combustion. I haven't included the mass transfer.I patched the temperature of the solid phase by 1100 k. I attached the geometry of the reactor and the udf. So would you please tell me how to model this reaction.

Kind wishes
