Flow rate @ Outlet is higher than @Inlet

Dear All,

I am doing Flare simulation and for that I am using Fluent EDC model.

when I am checking flow rate of fuel sepcies at Inlet is less than flow rate of that species at outlet. There is element mass balance error.

How should I overcome this problem.
Please suggest me

Thank you

You have species or element mass inbalance. These are not the same.
Don't forget to take into account, that chemical reactions in a domain can be sink or source of species.

thank you for your reply.
1. i am talking about element mass imbalance.
2. my fuel is c3h6.. the flame is generated still the c3h6 @ outlet is more than inlet....
this is the first time i am facing such type of problems

please suggest

Could you send more detail?
- the reaction is one step or detailed with further reactions?
- temperature?
- reaction model/turbulence model?
