Tollmien-Schlichting flow transition in 3D rectangular channel
I'm working on a turbulent 3D rectangular channel flow in order to point out the transition at Re=5772 tollmien-schlichting waves, until now, i've build several models but none of them succeeded in developing tollmien-schlichting waves around Re~5772, i'm performing calculations with Fluent 13 on i7 8gb ram, here is the model summary:
-Channel dimensions: 250 cm x 60 cm x 2 cm 1080000 cells / boundary layer mesh
-sst k-w with 100 to 200 roughness height
-Turbulent inlet condition: set the intensity to 5% and length scale to 0.01 m
-Solver to second order in momentum
Could someone please give me guidelines to modify the model in order get to Tollmien-Schlichting waves transition pattern ?
