How to rectify the error of mesh check failed

Hi friends,
This is mahendra. I imported the mesh from icemcfd(tet) to fluent. While doing the mesh check operation i got the problem. ie
WARNING: 3 degenerate contact points identified.
To print out a list of the contact points call (print-contact-points).........................
Done.
WARNING: Mesh check failed.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem
Thanks in advance
Mahendra

In ICEM as far as i remember, you have mesh check options that looks for t-connections, degenerate cells, free edges etc etc. try running them first. Look for mesh quality, especially the skewness, AR, OQ, EQ etc . if the mesh is good enough fluent doenot complain about mesh check failed.

In fluent you do have mesh repair options, use them using text commands. It should solve your problem.

Please let me know if this is useful....

run with no issues

And a year later... my contribution: getting the same mesh check failure "1 degenerated point" the simulation runs with no further complaints! However it would be better to don't have such errors in the mesh for improved convergence etc...
