influence of specified density in head losses or static pressure

Is it possible that Fluent compute directly the head losses and not the static pressure?.

I have made a simulation in a vertical pipe and the difference between two points is the same as the head losses i computed in my laboratory. It happens when choose gravity and specified gravity operation like 0. I imagine It is not right at all, because Fluent computes static presssure but not head losses.

I do not understand how it works the option specified density

Thanks

Hi Tres,

I assume you can achieve that by defining a user function in the Define/Custom_field-function, which allows you to create you own function based on Fluent results, and to use it afterward (plots, data files...). You can then change you change in pressure.

Hope it was of any help!

Cheers,
Nano
