Phase selection problem in open channel flow
 

Hello all, i have a rectangular channel, with two inlet and one outlet. one of the inlet discharge hot water while the other one discharges cold water. the inlets are in the opposite direction. it is an open channel flow problem, so the top must be released to the atmosphere. can any one help with the boundary conditions and how many phases should I took in VOF model. One thing it is a 2D problem. It would be very helpful if anybody can help me. Thanks in advance
