creation of mesh for boundary layer in Fluent Meshing Tool

Hello.

It's the first time I use the FLUENT Meshing Tool and need some help.
I've got a very simple square tube, and would like to make a square element mesh, that is very well refined at the edge, and quite refined in all other areas.
I set the 'relevance' factor to 100, and then used the Inflation tool, selecting the various wall of the geometry. This creates very fine step meshes near the walls, but in the center the elements become triangular rather than square. Is there a way to simply maintain square elements whilst increasing definition near walls?

Thank you.

Kind Regards,

Francesco

Meshing is not a science. It's a kind of art.Just be creative.

You need to define your meshing method explicitly. For your case it's better to use Sweep. And remember the pecularities of inflation with sweep - you'll need to specify edges, not surfaces.
