I need to export the data from fluent so I can analyse it with matlab. What I want is the velocity magnitude vector field. I tried exporting it as an .xml, .dat and .csv file with the results section of ansys workbench but both of them were just text files not actual .xml, .dat or .csv files and were useless to me. Does anyone have experience exporting files in fluent who could give me advice?
Thanks, Tom |

What do you mean by data.
If you are trying to export the xy plots , just type .txt or .xls and you can then import in matlab as load ......txt or xlsread abc.xls regards shk |
