Student in need of help! 2-D airfoil problem

Hi

I'm currently trying to run a 2D airfoil in fluent to find if there is any significant separation when a small flat plate is attached to the trailing edge. It is a follow up from a wind tunnel experiment, so it is supposed to replicate the airfoil in a wind tunnel.

The problem is that I'm not sure which is the best turbulence model to use, or if I should be using in order to replicate the wind tunnel. I believe it would be best to use either Spalart allmans model or the K-w model but I'm not sure which would be best.

Any advice on which one to use would be much appreciated.

Thanks

did you take a look at the tutorial ?? there is a tutorial about airfoil in fluent documentation.
cheers

yes i did, but that uses the spalart allmans model. I was hoping for a bit of guidnce in terms of which would be better to be analysing separation and the boundary layer?
