How do you get high quality vector plots out of Fluent?
All the formats I've tried are poor to say the least. EPS at 1000dpi seems reasonable but still not good.

What do you usually do?

I normally read the Fluent data in Tecplot and I manipulate everytying from tecplot and you can get output images in various formats (vectorial or not). Is really powerful but it's not free. It depends on if you have or not access to licences for it. Otherwise I heard many of my colleagues use Paraview which is free but I don't know anything about the output images you can get.

Hi Rob,

I believe we have a tecplot license floating about, I'll have to find out. Is there any preferred setting you use yourself?

Paraview is definitely an option...

normally I export it in eps and include it in the latex source of the document (I neve use word).

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately this particular journal requires a word file submission... even though it later just latexes it anyway.
