Thread

Hi

I have a confusion about the terminology 'thread' in udf of fluent.
I wanted to ask what is called thread in fluent?
If any one knows about it, please let me know.

Thanks.

Hai,
The cell and thread are used to define the position of the cell in the UDF. Fluent UDF manual gives teh following explanation " A thread is a data structure in FLUENT that is used to store information about a boundary or cell zone. Cell threads are groupings of cells, and face threads are groupings of faces" Refer; http://hpce.iitm.ac.in/website/Manua...udf/node12.htm

Hope that explains
