Validating a paper on wing tip vortices
I'm trying to validate "Numerical study of a wingtip vortex in the near field" by Dacles-mariani et al. In this paper they have validated using a code written by them which is "fifth order accurate" and they used a modified Baldwin-Barth as the turbulence model. They have also added that third order accurate scheme was too dissipative. I'm trying to validate this paper in fluent which is limited to third order accurate scheme and no turbulence model such as Baldwin-Barth is available in fluent.
The link below is a paper which tried to validated that same Dacles-Mariani paper.
I ran iterations in fluent giving the following parameters as given in the above link.
Working condition: 101325 pa
Velocity inlet : 170ft/s
pressure outlet: 0 pa (reference pressure)
All others are kept as stationary wall except the wall of symmetry.
Turbulence model : SPALART ALLMARAS.(S-A)
Gradient: LSQ CELL BASED (Least square cell based)
Pressure: second order
But i can't get good results. The results i'm getting are far more deviated from the actual results.
Can anyone help me to get better results?

I am doing the same thing as a part of the research for my Ph.D. There is no way you can get good results from a standard turbulence model. It is too dissipative and the results will be off by a lot.
In your geometry did you use trips near the leading edge of your wings?
