Subcooled boiling

I'm working on simulation of subcooled boiling in Fluent.
I have no major problem with the simulation, although for indication of bubble bulk diameter which is used in interfacial interactions I found limited information in the documentation.
More precisely, when you choose sauter mean diameter (SMD) I have no clue how FLUENT calculates the mean diameter..

Thank you for your cooperation.

hi ahmad
I'm working on simulation of subcooled boiling in Fluent too.my problem involves just natural convection(Twall=Tsat) in enclosure with air in above it, for this Im using vof model.my subcooled level (Tbulk-Tsat) is 20C,Boussinesq approximation is used for the water density and ideal gas for air.all of the enclosure walls are Insulated and heater is inside the water.im running transient solver,
how can i imposed subcooled level in fluent??????????
i used patch but doesnt work,
Indeed air above the water should not sense the temperature change quickly(
according to articles) but in my problem air temperature changes like water temperature.
please help me????
