Difference between Mesh(grid) interfaces and Interface B.c

My Inquiry is simple :)
What is the difference between Mesh(Grid) interfaces and Interface B.c For MRF problem Note : mesh interfaces (Grid) is not defined and i tries to generate it from ICEM see attached image pls. Thanks in advance |

Hi,
I am not sure if I understand your problem. I don't have knowledge of ICEM but u can change the BC in Fluent to Interface BC (mean data at this surface or plane or line will be shared by other surface or plane or line) as it is in Fig. 1. Mesh interface (in Fig. 2) is just a name of interface (User input) that u are creating from two interface zones. Form Fig. 2, Its seems that u have only one boundary as the interface BC. You need two boundary as interface to crate mesh interface. |

Dear Banty
As I excepted , an warning appears during mesh check "WARNING: Unassigned interface zone detected for interface 34" And by searching this type of warning , I found this "To define an interface you will require two interface boundary conditions (one on either side of the interface)" check this http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/flu...s-problem.html And I said before, we should meet Mesh Interfaces (two Boundary)condition :) thanks in advance |
Thats correct.
