Underground Parking Lot Ventilation Analysis

Dear all,

Hi! I am currently an undergrad doing Mechanical Engineering. My final year research paper requires me to study and compare the systems used in underground parking lot ventilation namely conventional ducted system and the jet fan system using FLUENT.

As it is a whole new software to me, I have been playing it around for months and still haven't quite got it figured out. What I have done so far is modelling the carpark using solidworks and plugging in the jet fans before importing the whole system as an assembly into FLUENT.

I am now at the point where I am done with meshing of the fluid spaces and I have been playing around with the parameters under setup. Despite this I still haven't quite gotten the result I wanted ie. I basically want to see the flow pattern and velocity profiles generated by the software. Perhaps I am missing certain things in my model or there might be problems from the boundary conditions. Either way, I'm hoping I can get some advice as to what I should be doing to obtain the flow profiles to compare the two systems.

Quite happy to supply more information if needed.:)
