below is a dual CPU configuration for a mid range workstation for computational and simulation work. kindly advise me as I am new to configuring systems.

will the video card be enough for 3D post processing ?

also do i need a better processor? i just want to have maximum memory channels possible.

my budget is around 2200USD.

cell count to be around 10 million.

I will be using fluent, gambit and open foam mostly.

I seriously have no idea about building pc's. so m looking forward to the replies.

power supply is way too small. I would think more like 800W, but you could use and online power supply calculator to check. That motherboard wont support 2400 MHz memory, it seems 2133 is the max it is rated for. Might want to confirm though.
Seems like a cheap way to get 8 memory channels though.
video card should be ok if your models are not extremely complex and large, which they cant be for cfd anyways.

hey..thanks for the reply....can u suggest any better configuration for simulation purpose....but not too costly....should i go for amd processors.....for they are cheaper and i can still get 4 memory channels per processor...???....is it better to go for a dual or quad socket mother board or should i connect single socket one's together...???
