1- The application is Fluent and flow visualization (up to 3 million grid). It is possible to buy 64GB Ram. I know Asus is well certified in Motherboard technology but Intel is also a famous brand .Has anyone have any bad experience with Intel?

2- Both have Max Ram capacity of 64 GB and both have 8 slots. The CPU supports 4 channels of ram and its max bandwidth is around 60 GB/s. Meanwhile the Intel supports DDR3 2400 MHz which Asus does not. So how the Quadruple/Dual channels of motherboard affects the performance?

Thanks for your comments

For CFD, quad-channel memory is MUCH better than dual channel. However, I think your information may be wrong. Intel's web site says that the DX79SR has four memory channels, which is what you would expect to see on an LGA2011 motherboard. In which case the Intel board sounds like a really good option, provided it has all the peripherals and features that you need.

I just got the information from http://www.game-debate.com/motherboa...Intel%20DX79SR . I checked it again in Intel website and you are right, some information are wrong in the link. Thanks

well, 5820k is much higher than I really need. I am gonna use Fluent that have only license for 4 cores. I need to see if we will need a powerful config in future , definitely I'll get 5820k.
