TonyEng is on a distinguished road
Hi everyone,

Currently I am trying to validate a prototype model using thermal fluid analysis. I'm working out of SolidWorks, and have tried a few applications to run this simulation (SolidWorks Flow Simulator, and AutoDesk CFD Flex). I've noticed that my laptop had difficulty running the model, and my desktop was even worse (outdated components, etc.)
So my option are to build a workstation computer (budget around $1K), or to find a viable cloud CFD computing service comparable with SolidWorks.
If anyone has any advise or opinions about what the better approach is I'd be happy to hear them, or if you have recommended cloud services/ PC components! A bit more info, the current model has approximately 100K elements and around 150k nodes. I simplified the CAD design for simulation analysis, but it is still obvious I need to migrate to a more powerful system.
Thanks for the advice!
