panos_metal21 is on a distinguished road
Hello,

i am into buying a new pc or workstation where i will run ansys 18 for modelling of heat and mass transfer models to simple geometries like tubes or furnace cavities. I know that "simple" is quite relative, but i can say that maximum cells number will be below 2 mil (attached a representative work can be found). My budget is 2000 euros (excluding screen and periphericals).
Can you please advice concerning the pc components (RAM, CPU, hard disk) properties is order for my PC to be functional and able to run similar models?

Thanks a lot.

Storage is just an example, I don't know how much storage you need or if you need fast file-I/O for transient simulations.
